Our Sunday Masterclasses are perfect for teens from 14-18 (school year 10-13) who want to take their training to the next level with specialist acting techniques and technical theatre production skills. No experience necessary and no need to be a QYT member.

What is QYT+?

These Sunday intensives are designed for young people who want to expand their theatre experience, developing specialist skills, exploring new pathways or simply looking to make new friends.

Leading industry experts deliver varied masterclasses across the year to inspire young people to explore all aspects of the theatre entertainment industry, providing expertise and a supportive environment for experimentation. Whether you are looking to pursue a career in theatre or simple pick up a new hobby these masterclasses are a great opportunity to gain more experience.

 

What We Cover

We cover a wide range of specialisms, with each course taught by an expert. Examples of previous masterclasses include:

  • Physicality and Movement : Master high-impact skills like Stage Combat , Physical Theatre, Character Improvisation and Puppetry
  • The Technical Crew: Get hands-on with Lighting Design, Sound Design, Set Design and Costume Design
  • Voice work Theatre Skills: Explore something new with Acting Through Song, Accents and Dialects, Puppetry and Voice Over

QYT+ gives you the space and support to master specific skills in a professional environment.

Who are the tutors?

At QYT+ we supplement our core tutors with experienced industry professionals.

  • The Pros: We bring in guest experts like BADC Fight Directors and Professional Voice Coaches
  • The QYT Team: Supported by the core QYT leadership, ensuring a safe and professional environment
  • The Gear: Use the same professional equipment (lighting desks, sound boards, prop stores) as our main house productions
