Kelli Dixon Academy of Dance presents The Nutcracker Ballet.
The Nutcracker is a classic ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky that begins on Christmas Eve at a festive family party, where young Clara receives a wooden Nutcracker doll from her godmother, Drosselmeyer.
At midnight, the living room magically transforms, led by the Mice and Soldiers. The Nutcracker comes to life and bravely helps defeat the Mouse King, breaking a spell and transforming into a handsome Prince.
As a reward, the Prince takes Clara on a journey through a swirling blizzard to the magical Kingdom of Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy hosts a spectacular celebration of international dances.
Clara finally awakens on Christmas morning, wondering if it was all a wonderful dream.
