Welcome to the stage!

Acting for All (AFA) introduces you to the world of acting in a supportive and friendly series of workshops. Suitable for anyone looking to start or progress their acting journey.

AFA is comprised of three terms which can be taken in any order and cover the fundamentals of acting skills including voice, improvisation, movement, storytelling, character development and audition technique.

Autumn Term (Sep-Dec) 
Focuses on acting skills including:
– The voice, vocal techniques & identity
– Exploring improvisation and characterisation
– Movement, physical storytelling and its place in theatre

This course is for all adults interested in acting. There are no auditions and no previous experience is required.

AFA will enable you to go on and pursue a higher level of performance art or confidently try out for that part you’ve always wanted. The sky is the limit.

WHO TEACHES THIS COURSE?

Jessica is an actor, director, facilitator and Associate of the National Youth Theatre. She has worked with a plethora of arts organisations and youth theatres across London and Berkshire to share her process, knowledge and love of the creative industry.

As an actor she has worked in TV, Film and Theatre and has recently finished a U.K. tour of ‘Macbeth’ and ‘A Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde’ with Dickens Theatre Company. You can see her star along side Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver and Christopher Llyod in ‘Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose’ streaming on Amazon Prime and as Mia in horror film ‘Pinocchio Unstrung’ alongside Richard Brake releasing this summer in cinemas.
