Based on the 1992 film, Sister Act tells the story of aspiring disco diva Deloris Van Cartier. Trying to make her mark in 1970s Philadelphia, she witnesses a murder committed by Curtis, her gangster lover. To keep her safe, she is put in protective custody in the one place nobody will think to look – a convent that has seen better days.
Though the new rigid convent life is everything she hates, Deloris finds her calling working with the nuns in the choir. Using her disco moves and singing talent to inspire them, new life is given to the church and community. But will Deloris’ safe haven be enough to protect her?
