The Questors Theatre aims to be welcoming and accessible to everyone.

Our site has step-free access including a lift, accessible toilets and wheelchair-friendly seating.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

Our site has wheelchair access for visitors including a lift, automatic entrance doors, accessible toilets, and three disabled parking spaces. Wheelchair-friendly seating is available in both the Playhouse and the Studio. To book, please call the Box Office.

 

 

DISABLED PARKING SPACES

Our car park offers three spaces for blue badge holders. Please note these cannot be reserved or guaranteed.

FREE CARER TICKETS

If you require a carer to accompany you to a show, we offer companion tickets free of charge for all shows. Please contact the Box Office and book your companion ticket when booking your accessible seat.

STEP-FREE SEATING

Step-free seating in the Judi Dench Playhouse
When booking seats in our Playhouse, if you require step-free access to your seat, we recommend booking in Row G. Our theatre seating slopes downwards from the entry points at the back of the theatre, so Row A is the lowest seating but can only be accessed via steps down inside the auditorium.
Step-free seating in the Studio
When booking a show in our Studio, please be aware that it is unreserved seating and the seating configuration can change for different shows.

CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES

We are committed to captioning at least one performance of each of our in-house productions. Captioned performances have text displayed on a screen on the stage, so that deaf and hard of hearing people can read the words as they are spoken or sung. Captions are useful for anyone who would like to read along with the performance, for example if it is not in their native language.

RELAXED PERFORMANCES

For our annual pantomime, we offer a relaxed performance. This means we relax some of our theatre’s usual rules to make the experience enjoyable for everyone, especially young children and people with autism or additional needs. For the relaxed performance:

  • People will be allowed to freely enter and exit the auditorium during the show with a dedicated chill out space available
  • Doors will be left open and the house lights will be left on
  • There will be reduced loud sounds, quieter music, and we will avoid using strobe lighting

Look out for dates for relaxed performances when our annual pantomime is on sale.

ACCESSIBILITY QUESTIONS

We have one baby change toilet. Step-free access to this facility is via a lift from our Ground Floor.

Whilst we don’t have a dedicated private space for prayer, we will always do our best to find an appropriate space for you if possible. Please contact a member of our front of house team for assistance.

We offer three gender neutral toilets, one of which has step-free access. These are near to The Grapevine Bar. We also have designated male and female toilets; these are up the stairs from our Upper Foyer, above our Studio.

Due to the curve of our auditorium our seat width varies. Seats are 40cm, 43cm, 45cm and 50cm in width.
If on-sale our “pit seats” (rows AA-EE) are 45cm wide with no armrests. All other seats in the auditorium have fixed arm-rests.
Most are either 40cm or 43cm wide. Our widest seats are 50cm and are the following: A3, A4, A52, A53, B52, B54, F11, F39, G11, G12, G39, G52, G53.

Hearing loop facilities are planned for both our theatre spaces. Please contact us to find out when these are available.
