The Questors Theatre is the lead organisation for Ealing’s Cultural Education Partnership (CEP). Thanks to generous funding from John Lyon’s Charity, we are spearheading an initiative to bring culture in all its forms into the lives of young people across the borough, under our new name: REACH Ealing.
What is a Cultural Education Partnership?
Cultural Education Partnerships (CEPs) were established by the Department for Education and Arts Council England to strengthen cultural education for young people aged 0–25 (and 0–30 for disabled young people) within their local authority area.
Our journey so far…
At REACH Ealing, we have been working hard to bring together schools, artists, cultural organisations, heritage sites and community groups to create meaningful experiences that inspire creativity, build confidence and broaden horizons for all young people across the borough.
We are proud to have reached nearly 1,000 young people across Ealing in 2026, working with a growing network of more than 30 cultural partners.
Through our Opportunities Fund, we have supported a wide range of creative workshops, giving young people the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and explore their creativity.
For example, we supported The Animation Experience at a primary school in Acton, where Year 6 pupils designed and created their own virtual games. We have also worked with White City Theatre Project to support a group of Year 9 students at a Southall school, helping them to develop their performance skills, confidence and self-expression.
Alongside our creative programmes, we have been supporting young people to explore careers in the creative and cultural sectors. Working with partners including Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, we have delivered careers insight days at Questors Theatre. These events have given students the opportunity to meet industry professionals, discover different career pathways and gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of the wide range of roles available within the arts and cultural sector.
These achievements are only possible because of the collaboration, passion and generosity of our partners. By working together, we can create opportunities that no single organisation could deliver alone and help ensure that more young people across Ealing can access and benefit from culture.
Looking ahead: 7 Towns, 1 Story
This autumn, we are excited to launch 7 Towns, 1 Story, a new project delivered in collaboration with Rebels and Pilgrims.
The project will celebrate the unique stories, identities and communities of the young people who live across Ealing’s seven towns. Working alongside local freelance artists, young people will have the opportunity to explore what makes their town special and express their experiences and perspectives creatively. Their work will culminate in an exhibition celebrating the diversity and creativity of young people across the borough.
We’ll be sharing much more about this exciting initiative in the coming months.
Just the beginning
This is just the beginning for REACH Ealing. As our partnership continues to grow, we look forward to creating even more opportunities for young people to connect with culture, creativity and each other across Ealing’s seven towns.
