Betrayal and The Stares

By Peter Gould and Douglas Willis

A double-bill of new plays, followed by a special announcement...

A one-off event in celebration of the Student Playwriting Competition – and your first chance to find out about our winner. The winner will be announced in person by Oliver Ford Davies from our judging panel - don't miss it!

The main feature of the night will be a staged reading of Betrayal, an original play by Peter Gould, followed by The Stares.

Here is all you need to know about these exciting new works...

Betrayal by Peter Gould

Northern Ireland during the Troubles. In a divided community, loyalty is everything. But do you follow the teachings of the church or support the armed struggle?

The Stares by Douglas Willis

A razor-sharp comedy about an experimental actor, struck by her ego, who runs into trouble with very bored stage management...

The shows will be followed by a reception. This is a free event on the 18th January - just turn up on the door. Starts at 7:45pm. Please note that there will be a collection for QRenew at the end of the performance.
