Fame, fortune and acquittal

St Augustine’s Priory presents an all-female production of Chicago: High School Edition, with a 21st Century twist on the American Dream.

Staged in the roaring 20s, Roxie Hart and another "Merry Murderess" Velma Kelly vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces to see their names in lights.

This production, directed by Faith Hagerty (Director of Sixth Form) will bring a fusion of the stark world of prison life and the Razzle Dazzle of Vaudeville and Chicago’s Speakeasies during Prohibition. Sixth Form students have led the creative and technical aspects of the show, including costumes, set, props and stage management.
