The King of Navarre and three of his high-minded friends decide to spend three years fasting and studying without any distractions from the opposite sex. It isn't long before the Princess of France arrives with her tempting companions, intending to make camp outside the court.
Needless to say, the good intentions of the men are soon forgotten and, in typical Shakespearian fashion, disguises and other deceptions follow.
Apart from the royals, there is a cast of other less noble characters who add to the mischief and hilarity.
This is a wonderful mixture of wordplay and visual slapstick humour interweaving to create and evening of delightful comedy.
