We are delighted to present this brace of brilliant plays, brimming with clever, witty, sparring characters who show Alan Bennett at his finest.

An Englishman Abroad
It’s 1958. Guy Burgess, a once charismatic Cambridge spy, has defected to Russia. Now, having gone to seed, he invites the actress, Coral Browne, to his chaotic Moscow flat to flirt, reminisce and ask a favour.

A Question of Attribution

A decade later, Sir Anthony Blunt is languishing at the heart of the Establishment as Surveyor of the Queen’s Pictures. Initially interrogated by an MI5 officer about his shadowy past, he then unexpectedly faces a more elliptical inquisition from Her Majesty apparently about art...or is it really about something else?
