Encore is a one-year practical intermediate course designed to allow participants to develop their acting skills in a fun and focused environment and who want to take their learning to the next level.
In order to particiate, applicants will either have already taken part in our beginners’ Acting For All class or have the appropriate theatre experience. There are two entry points in September 2019 and January 2020.
During the course we will develop essential acting skills and introduce members to a number of specific theatrical techniques and theories.
There are practical and engaging workshops on Stanislavski, Brecht, TV and film acting, radio acting, Shakespeare, as well as a host of others!
We will concentrate on uniting these skills to work towards an end of year summer showcase. Past members have gone on to be successful in becoming Acting Members of The Questors Theatre and to participate in productions.
Encore will be led by Francesca McInally. Francesca trained at East 15 Acting School, The Questors Theatre and in the Meisner Technique with Scott Williams at The Impulse Company. She has worked professionally as an actress, director and facilitator and currently works for the Guildford Shakespeare Company, directing their TIE shows and leading their Brave New World outreach programme.
