Mrs Wilberforce, a sweet but strict little old lady, lives all alone in her slowly subsiding house in King's Cross.
A group of amateur musicians arrive, looking to rent a room. But they are not what they seem. The musicians are in fact a gang of criminal misfits masterminding a robbery.
The villains plot to involve Mrs Wilberforce in their heist, but she becomes wise to their ruse. The gang concludes there is only one way to keep the old lady quiet...
With only her parrot to help her, Mrs Wilberforce is alone with five desperate men - but who will be forced to face the music?
The original film of The Ladykillers, released in 1955, was the last of the great British comedies that Ealing Studios was renowned for. It was adapted for the stage by Graham Linehan, the writer of Father Ted and The IT Crowd.
