This study day will explore 'The Second Mrs Tanqueray' by Arthur Wing Pinero.
The play premiered in 1893 with Mrs Patrick Campbell in the lead.
It explores the fragility of women's reputations in the late Victorian era, ruin and rehabilitation, the dangers of being labelled 'damaged goods,' sexual incontinence, disappointed love, family divisions and long-stifled secrets.

Until lockdown she produced/co-produced The Comedy Project at Soho Theatre, showcasing new writing. Her one-woman plays: Jubilate! (The Times Critics’ Choice-Edinburgh Pleasance) and LOL (‘This show is bliss’—Libby Purves) have won awards. Her two-hander, Sympathy Pains, played at Park90 in Park Theatre’s opening season. (‘A great show, smart and funny with wonderful performances’ - Peter Capaldi). A new play, co-written with Lea Sellers, Holy Fool about Dmitri Shostakovich, will run at Park Theatre (Park200) August 27th - October 10th this year.
As an actress, Ros recently filmed a Channel 5 series set in Spain. She was in the 2024 Christmas Special of BBC1’s Beyond Paradise and in Series 1 (Ep 6) of Amazon Prime Video's Last One Laughing with comedienne Lou Sanders. She is in new feature film Misper, a short film, Everything's Fine and Mafia, a comedy which won the Audience Choice Award at Soho Film Festival 2025.
