In 1976, women workers at the Trico-Folberth factory in Brentford went on strike for the right to equal pay. The strike lasted five and half months and was momentous in its achievement of equal pay for women, but is less well known than other contemporaneous strikes. The Trico project marks the 50 year anniversary by bringing this event to life with new research and voices.
Join the Playback team on 25 May for a 60 minute overview of the project, written by Tony Chapman, presenting the chronology of the strike, with a range of key voices demonstrating the depth and range of the research.
