Performance combat is the art and craft of portraying violence on stage and screen in a way that is safe, controlled, and repeatable.
What will we cover?
This one off workshop for QYT+ will focus primarily on techniques for the stage, while also exploring the key differences between stage and screen combat.
Who teaches this course?
Your course instructor is Adrian Fear. Adrian first trained in stage combat at drama school under Derek Ware, one of the founding figures of British stage combat. As a professional actor, he went on to apply these skills extensively across both stage and screen work. In the 2010s, Adrian further deepened his expertise by training with Raph Aldis at StageFight, progressing through all levels of the European Certificate of Skilled Performance before completing StageFight’s instructor training programme.
Who is this course for?
This QYT+ masterclass is for young people aged 14-18 (school years 10-13) who are interested in learning a new skill. You do not have to be a QYT member to take part. The workshops is suitable for complete beginners.
