Level 3 Improvisation - Introduction to Longform
Yes... Level 3... Now we’re developing a large pool of Improvisors at Questors, we’re ramping up by introducing our first Level 3 Course.
For those that don’t know, Longform Improv is naturalistic, and from audience suggestions of Jobs, Relationships and Locations, players name each other, establish relationships, and create scenes which may or may not be comedic, but will always be ‘real’ and mostly ‘believable’.
As such, Longform is particularly useful for actors… Google ‘Benefits of Improv for Actors’ to find out how.
As with all Questors Improv classes, there will be an end of course show for friends and family, in which it is entirely optional to perform in.
Requirements: At least some Improvisation preferably at Level 2, or acting experience is necessary for this course. If you're unsure, email me at antgriffith@btinternet.com.
All Level 3 courses are standalone, limited to 20 students, and if you miss any classes, this is not a problem.
Who teaches this course?
Ant Griffith has completed Questor's Foundation and Advanced Performance courses as well as graduating in Foundations of Acting at Mountview Drama School. He has studied improvisation at The Free Association, Hoopla, The Nursery and The Maydays under Suki Webster, Josie Lawrence, Katy Schutte & Maria Peters, and is the founder and tutor of the Questors home improv team The Slack Captains.
He is also a musician and songwriter, with several songs in the movie 'The Girl with a Clock for a Heart' directed by Daniel Barber, currently in pre-production.
